“This new grant is being introduced in recognition of both the physical and psychological impact that sudden hair loss can have on someone’s life.This initiative, provided for in Budget 2022, is about supporting people who suffer from forms of alopecia or cancer.“The grant of up to €500 will assist in the purchase of a wig or hairpiece, for people who suffer the trauma of hair loss"
Why Are Wig Prices Different ?
Like everything in life, you pay for what you get. The internet has thousands of companies selling wigs in different styles and qualities. Essentially cheap wigs are generally made in mass production with machine made caps a low quality synthetic hair (These would be a party or Halloween fun style wig ). Then you have medium to high quality wigs with monofilament caps that have hand stitched caps, which means you can change your parting to your liking. The highest grade wigs are Human hair with lace front caps that use the highest quality materials.
